Technology-Specific Safety
CuraScalp™ uses a combination of electrical, light-based, thermal and specialist scalp technologies. Suitability for one part of the treatment does not automatically confirm suitability for every technology included within the programme.
Following consultation, Santavia may decide that a particular technology should be omitted or that the treatment should be adapted where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
Where a medical condition, implanted device or other contraindication makes the overall treatment unsuitable, Santavia reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment.
Radio Frequency, Galvanic Current & Ionisation Technology
Clients must disclose all implanted electronic devices and metal implants before treatment.
Electrical and Radio Frequency technologies may not be suitable for clients with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, electronic medical implants or certain metal implants within or near the treatment area.
Clients must not knowingly withhold information regarding an implanted device, medication or medical condition.
LED Red Light & LED Scalp Therapy
Clients must disclose any condition that causes sensitivity to light and any medication or treatment that may increase photosensitivity.
If you are unsure whether your medication causes photosensitivity, please check with your pharmacist, GP or prescribing healthcare professional before attending your appointment.
Protective eye equipment must be worn where required during light-based treatment stages.
Scalp Health & Skin Integrity
CuraScalp™ is designed to support and improve the condition of the scalp and hair; however, it is not a medical treatment and does not diagnose, treat or cure medical hair loss conditions or scalp diseases.
Treatment must not be performed over active infection, open wounds, unexplained lesions, significant bleeding or severely compromised skin.
If your Tricho-Derm Scalp Analysis identifies something that may require medical investigation, we may recommend that you seek advice from your GP, dermatologist or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional before continuing with treatment.
Hair & Styling Restrictions
CuraScalp™ is not suitable for clients with:
• Hair extensions
• Locks
• Braids
These styles can prevent full access to the scalp and hair and may interfere with the safe and effective performance of the specialist technologies, scalp detoxification techniques, manual treatments and Luxury Waterfall Halo Hydrotherapy included within the CuraScalp™ programme.
All hair extensions, braids and installed protective styles must be fully removed before attending your appointment.
Clients arriving with hair extensions, locks or braids will be unable to receive the CuraScalp™ treatment and will have to pay a rescheduling fee to cover the cost of the appointment loss.
CuraScalp™ requires full access to both the scalp and hair throughout the treatment. If you are unsure whether your hairstyle is suitable, please contact us on 0113 418 2823 before booking.
Hair Loss & Treatment Results
Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.
CuraScalp™ is designed to deeply cleanse the scalp, remove dead skin cells and product build-up, support scalp condition and create a healthier environment for the scalp and hair.
No guarantee is made that CuraScalp™ will stop hair loss, prevent future shedding or cause hair regrowth.
Hair thinning and excessive shedding can have many possible causes, including hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, genetics, inflammation, stress and underlying medical conditions. Further medical investigation may sometimes be recommended.
