Health & Medical Conditions

We will NOT perform any treatment on anyone:

​

• Who turns up to their appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Immediately after having surgery, whether that is medical, reconstructive or cosmetic.

• Customers MUST wait a minimum of 2 weeks before booking in for a head spa treatment if they have had beauty lasering/ semi-permanent makeup or any aesthetic treatments such as Botolium Toxin, Facial fillers, Peels, Microneedling, PRP or any other facial beauty treatments that include the use of an injection to the skin or potential skin peeling. 

• We will NOT perform any treatment on customers who suffer with any form of skin disease.

• We will NOT perform any treatment on customers who are Diabetic or have Heart related diseases/Cardiovascular disorder/a history of thrombosis/low or high blood pressure or severe headaches without confirmation from a doctor to state that it is safe for us to go ahead with the treatment.

• If you turn up to your appointment with either diarrhoea, sickness, severe abdominal pain or high fever, your appointment will be cancelled with immediate affect and no refund will be given, unless of course it is a sudden fall to illness, in which we will discuss a potential rescheduling of the appointment (this would be to our discretion) We must ensure that this rule is followed to ensure we are able to keep the clinic safe and hygienic for all our customers. 

• Any bumps/ lumps or swelling around the treated areas such as the neck, head, scalp, face or shoulders will need to be checked by a doctor prior to any treatment taking place. Your doctor will need to confirm that it is nothing serious or if you already have a diagnosis please make us aware immediately. 

• ​​Anyone who has had an operation within the last 6 months will need confirmation from their consultant or a medical professional to enable them to have treatment.

• Burns on the skin or Hot flashes immediately after sun exposure. 

• Anyone who has experienced an asthma attack within the last 12 months or is likely to have an asthma attack on the day of their scheduled appointment.

• Anyone who has experienced an epileptic seizure or had a fit within the past 12 months can not have treatment. 

• Expectant mothers below 12 weeks or above 24 weeks are NOT suitable for treatment! 

• Within one week of any vaccinations. ​

• Must have waited at least 2 weeks from bleaching hair or having hair dyed, even if it is Henna based hair dye.

• Please ensure you finish eating any meal 1 hour prior to attending your session.

• it is advised to wait at least 1 week after your detox head spa treatment before attending for a hair colouring appointment.

• it is also advised to wait at least 3 days after your head spa detox treatment before having any extensions or weave fitted into your hair.

(As stated above, please do take into consideration, our staff members are not doctors or GP's so therefore, are not able to diagnose any medical conditions however, they can advise on the treatments that are available at Santavia to help reduce symptoms.
